Meet James, Founder & President

Fredericksburg isn't just where FredXteriors is based. It's home. With more than 25 years in home improvement, James has spent his career earning the trust of this community. He built his reputation the old-fashioned way: showing up, doing the work right, and owning the result.

James's roots in FXBG run deep. Born and raised in Fredericksburg and graduate of James Monroe HS. He's a graduate of Leadership Fredericksburg (Class of 2015, where he was voted class president) and was named a Top Ten Next Gen honoree by the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce. He was named Builder of the Year by the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association in 2021, and his work earned Best Humanitarian Member Project from the Home Builders Association of Virginia in 2023.

Outside work, James founded 516 Project, a nonprofit construction ministry that repairs homes for families in need. Through the Roofing Revival Program, FredXteriors donates a free roof to a veteran for every 50 roofs installed. A husband and father of three, James leads with faith, gratitude, and service, so when you hire FredXteriors, you're hiring a neighbor who's invested in this community.
